Unreal Engine 5 Video Game Cinematic Teaser Trailer 'Forbidden Ruin'

Solely designed the soundscape for my university major project 'Forbidden Ruin'. This 3 month group project for a cinematic teaser trailer for a upcoming video game taught me how to sound design trailer, and reinforced how small indie game groups operate.​

Custom Unity Nature Level Sound Design

Unity Engine Audio Implementation

Designed the entire soundscape of a given Unity game level utilising Foley, field recordings and minimal sourced audio. All sound effects and music required little to no processing which were mixed, mastered and implemented  into the Unity level abiding by my research of the traditional game audio development process. 

​

The videos on the right display my results as well as audio asset implementation process for my project 1, AUD213 course at the SAE Creative Media Institute in Byron Bay.

Unreal Engine V4.24.3 Audio Implementation

Designed and implemented the soundscape in a given Unreal Engine demo level. The process of 3D audio implementation for a soundscape in Unreal Engine 4 was documented in a short youtube playlist series showing my progression to final result.

Unity VR Pool Game Sound Design: Team Collaboration

Unity Engine Audio Asset Creation

​

 Credits: Blake Tanner , Daniel Vega & Zach Ray

Collaborated with game developers Blake Tanner and Daniel Vega on their game VR Pool, where I created all of the audio assets and they implemented them into the final product. 

​

That experience taught me how the dynamics between game developers and sound designers work within the industry.

Jack-Jack Attack (2004) Sound Redesign

This collaborative project required myself and Travis Loschen (colleague) to completely redesign from scratch all audio from the 2004 Disney/Pixar animated short film " Jack-Jack Attack" originally produced  Brad Bird (director). 

​

This project for the AUD213: Audio Studio 3 course at SAE Byron Bay, NSW, Australia, required to be mixed and mastered in 5.1 surround sound as well as stereo accordingly.

Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and Hospital Promo Advertisement: Dialogue Editing

Audio Mixer/Boom Operator/Dialogue Editor 

Credits: EdanBinder, Joel Carter, Sophie Ross, Isabella Rowland & Zach Ray

Working in conjunction with a respected film crew for this project I recorded both ambiance and dialogue with the assistance Edan Binder (colleague) to provide audio for promotional advertisement in regards to the Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and Hospital. 

 

Later dialogue editing and clean up were needed to finalise the audio for my clients.

This group project required myself and my credited colleagues to re-mix and master a director's horror comedy short film in both 5.1 surround sound as well as stereo.

Beam Machine: KONTAKT INSTRUMENT

Sound Designer  

Kontakt Scripting & Mapping

"Beam Machine" is inspired by classic 80's sci-fi and modern retro synth wave to produce 3 virtual Kontakt instruments held within the one interface that play a variety of laser blast sounds.  The instruments within my  "Beam Machine"  product include Slinky, Monotron synth and feedback loop lasers which can be manipulated with various FX knobs.

​

Additional, material such as a virtual countdown on social media, posters, demo videos, sound bites, box art and a mockup webpage were made to promote my instrument as a real product.
